Meet Amybeth Harmon, DDS
Diplomate, American Board of Pediatric Dentistry
Dr. Amybeth Harmon is a 1997 graduate of the University of the Pacific Dental School, San Francisco, where she was awarded her Doctorate of Dental Surgery. She completed her pediatric residency program at Louisiana State University and Children’s Hospital in 1999. She was honored with the Charles Pop Sweet Award for Excellence in Pediatric Dentistry. Upon completing her residency, she followed in her father’s footsteps and began practicing at Pediatric Dentistry of Pleasant Hill.
While in college, Dr. Amybeth accompanied her father on a dental mission trip to Guatemala. This inspired her desire to become a pediatric dentist. She has since travelled to the Dominican Republic, where she and staff provided dental care to very poor children. While on this trip, her husband Steven built water fountains to provide clean drinking water.
Dr. Amybeth is honored to provide excellent dental care to the children of our community.
She and her family support Harbor House in Oakland and make bags for the homeless of Bay Area Rescue Misson. A very rewarding experience for her is traveling on mission trips to provide dental care to underserved children.
In her free time, Dr. Amybeth also enjoys water sports, reading, and hiking. Most of all, she truly treasures her time spent with her husband, two daughters, two sons, and bulldogs, Amelia and Atlas.
